(((Sonorama Podcast)))No.5: Si te pica el alacran

  1. -:-- / -:--

For this week’s podcast we take a little break from our recent tropical tendencies (only for a week that is), and we continue our exploring into obscure and unfamiliar musical territories from across the globe, this time looking at early rock n’ roll styles, including the twist, surf, and instrumental rock.  Among the sweet digs are a  little twistin’ groover from Colombia, early instrumental rock, and surf music from Mexico. Later in the show, we turn our ears to a little set of quirky and exciting Latin American music originally intended for children, including a side project by space-pop genius Juan Garcia Esquivel. We also pay a little tribute to the late Tito Puente and lastly to wrap things up, we  join Airto and Flora for some cosmic jazz from Brasil and an upbeat track of Brazilian disco/funkiness. Enjoy EB & CG
