HI peeps, we’re back with another round of tracks and groovers from around the globe, apologies for the lack of content lately but we hope to make up for that in the weeks to come, but either way we’ve got a new podcast for you, some of our recent outings have had us pulling out some 60’s goodies and along the way we’ve uncovered other little cuts we ourselves hadn’t even noticed before. This week we take a little listen to young soundz that shaked hips and bopped heads in the 60’s & 70’s, touching on rock, pop, n soul from various corners of the world, even some psych-ish rock and swiggin’ jazz pop.
There a lot great tunes in this one, lots of covers but great ones nevertheless, check out one of my favorite versions of the Zombies’ “She’s not there’ by ex-Apson singer Polo from Mexico, also a heavy version of Spencer Davis’ Group hit “I am man” done by Spain’s El Xics, also check out Peruvian flutist, saxaphonist, and fusion maestro Nilo Espinoza with his group’s cover of George McCrae’s soul disco hit “Rock your baby”, plus of course lots more sweet sounds and groovers from across the globe as we like to do. Enjoy the tunes. EB&CG
