Since 1998 Mexico City’s premier groove maestros Los Musicos de Jose have created a long career exploring of the more danceable universes of jazz, funk, and rock. As they put it, they want to make “powerful funk-like music aimed at your feet, guts, and both hemisphere’s of your brain.”

For Dilo!, the band’s fourth studio album, the band delivers a lively 11-track tribute album dedicated to Cuban/Mexican composer & “King of the Mambo”, Damaso Perez Prado. The album features several artist collaborations by Los Liquits, La Banda Baston, Agrupacion Cariño, MC Charlot, Borchi, among others.

The band pays a fitting tribute to the era and legacy of one of Latin America’s most creative minds, including party classics, “Lupita”, “Caballo Negro”, and “Mambo en Sax”.

This release is a special collaboration with Ducado Records and in partnership with Los Músicos de José for their amazing talent and music.
